Creative Adventure

My class is all about Creative Adventure, and offers students the opportunity to indulge their Muse and experience new avenues of expression using both the brush and palette knife. We will also review to some degree the basics of composition, color theory and traditional technique. Two canvases will be completed during the course. Each of my students will receive my individual attention in addition to our classwork.

Biography

An experienced, juried artist, Nancy is a Contemporary Impressionist, using light and color to express a mood and create a moment.

A native Californian, Nancy has traveled and studied in many parts of the world, including years of residency in Spain and the West Indies.

She received formal training at the Corcoran School of Art, Washington, DC, La Napoule Art Foundation, Cote D'Azur, France, and the Institute of Art, Lucca, Italy.

Her galleries and exhibitions include metropolitan Washington, DC, Palm Beach, Florida, Carmel, California, and St. Barth, St. Martin and St. Thomas in the Caribbean.

Her private and commission works include Estee Lauder, Amnesty International, Jack Walsh, former CEO, General Electric, the Royal House of Saud and the City of Naples, Florida.

Nancy has also designed and painted wall murals and theater sets, developed and operated a successful design business and her own gallery.

In my Art, I find creativity follows imagination, so I believe my students must use their imagination before they use their paints and brushes.

My capricious thought process has allowed me to become a romantic gypsy and explore the world of creativity. That same world awaits every student. My goal is to help them find it, explore it, and record it on canvas.
