Biography
As a young child I was intrigued with art and design. I work in many mediums; watercolor, oils, clay (both thrown on the wheel and hand built), sculpture, photography and fused glass. The potential for variety in design are exciting and unlimited.
All my creations are one of a kind. As a General Manager for a major arts supplier I had the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the top people in the art industry. Now as a Gallery Director I get the opportunity to help people create a home environment with the art that they love, and work with other artists who share the same passion.
There is something magical about glass when it is hot. Energy that went into heating the glass is transformed into a glowing, flowing, honey like substance that responds to the touch and spirit of the artist. For thousands of years both the process and the results of forming glass glass have fascinated people. Glass has mystified and intrigued humanity for centuries from the ancient Egyptians to modern man. This process called fusing is a rediscovered art form. It is created with a kiln, colored glass and gravity. Glass is heated then manipulated, shaped, formed or decorated in a kiln. This process is affected by gravity so there is an element of surprise for the artist as well.
